•••MEN ON THE DANCE FLOOR••• /MOVEMBER GIFT/

Do you know how hard it is for a man to get on the dance floor? To show up, be there, to do the work and show themselves in the strength of their vulnerability? If you’re a man, you probably do.
If I were to step in a room full of (just) men, not only would I think twice, but I truly cannot guarantee how comfortable would I feel exploring the depths of my psyche, my heart, body and soul over and over again week after week as an only or one of few women there. I dare to say that I love and trust both myself and men in general that I could do that. Yet again, I, as a woman am rarely in that situation in any kind of self-development context, psychotherapy or conscious dance. At the same time, even though I have had and still have an hounour of working with many amazing men individually and in groups, and that they keep on finding ways to my dance floors I am deeply curious what else can I do to support them and us and the balance between us.

I admire and appreciate all the men daring to take a step in the way towards their wholeness, finding spaces to meet and connect, dance deep with life metaphorically and literally, dealing not only with personal stories but strong gender stories that have projected onto men burdens that they should not carry. Being strong means being emotional, being direct doesn’t mean being aggressive and being dedicated does not mean being totalitarian. It sure can be, but it doesn’t by definition.

So, dear men, I truly love your masculine way and hoping you find all the places and spaces you need to do your work.

As I am dancing deep with this dance of polarities as a woman, I keep wondering what can I do as a teacher to support you even more. If you wish to help me, please teach me!

Also, by the end of Movember, you can choose one of my offerings that you’d like to participate, and come for free.

With all the love and respect to all of us, and to the space between us,
Kaya
